I'm Faith Perez, founder of Faith Perez Dog Training LLC. With over five years of professional experience, I specialize in helping dogs build confidence, strength, and calm through thoughtful, client-centered training focused on long-term wellness.

MY MISSION

"To use intentional movement to build confidence, calm, and a deeper connection between dogs and the people who love them."

I believe movement is more than exercise. My approach blends core conditioning with intentional, science-based training to develop both physical strength and mental stability — because when a dog feels capable in their body, everything else begins to shift.

Trust, clarity, and helping dogs and their humans move forward together is at the root of everything I do.

MY ORIGIN STORY

Some of my favorite moments in this work are the quiet ones. Watching a dog finally be able to settle at a cafe in the heart of New York City, or engaging in something new like pivoting on a roughly textured balance disc. Those moments may seem small, but they represent something much bigger: a dog who feels balanced, fulfilled, and understood. It's an honor to be part of that journey, and at the root of everything I do is genuine care for both you and your dog.

My path with animals began in veterinary medicine, where I earned my B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I found my true calling in dog training through my own dog, Barkley — my intelligent, high-energy Australian Cattle Dog mix who needed constant mental and physical engagement. She is now thirteen and still my sidekick, continuing to remind me of the importance of gentle, joyful movement at every stage of life.

Over the years, I have worked in dog daycares, private training, and alongside respected organizations like the ASPCA's Community Animal Resource and Enrichment program and Dogs Trust USA. I also expanded my skills at Zoom Room Chelsea, gaining hands-on experience in agility, obedience, scent work, trick training, and canine fitness. I currently work as a trainer with Doggie Academy in Brooklyn, where I focus on training and canine fitness.

Today, my work centers around helping dogs and their people create a more balanced life together. I specialize in building calm focus in busy environments, supporting senior dog wellness, and incorporating safe, effective strength and conditioning into everyday routines.

Dog training brought me to this work, but it's the relationship between dogs and their people that keeps me here.

If you're ready to invest in your dog's physical and mental wellness — and in a more enjoyable life together, I'd love to be part of that journey.
